Telematics Update: The Barriers to Fleet Telematics Adoption revealed - finally

Telematics Update has released an exclusive business intelligence report looking at the development of the connected fleet market as the industry reaches the cusp of exponential growth.

Only 20% of the commercial vehicle market has been penetrated with telematics systems. Brand new research from Telematics Update into this growing market has pinpointed two clear barriers. With so many products on the market fleet managers find it difficult to make an initial choice. Furthermore, since that choice is always, to some degree, not 100% suitable, they are very reticent about increasing their investment and buying additional services. If the technology community can establish a dialogue with fleets and understand their requirements, the opportunity to further penetrate this market could be huge. Telematics Update has just released The Connected Fleet Report 2014 to provide this much needed insight into the fleet telematics space.

Telematics Update’s commercial vehicle expert, Ruthana Foulkes, explains some of Telematics Update’s research into the space. “We’ve put together an exclusive Connected Fleet Report to better understand the barriers to increased fleet telematics adoption. It tells us, in fleet managers’ own words, what makes the commitment to invest in these services more difficult, such as how large volumes of data deters them from telematics. The report can help companies find out how to adapt to their requirements.”
