OEMs firmly believe that connected-car services can help them sell cars at Telematics Detroit 2014 – Video Interviews

Last week’s Telematics Detroit Conference & Exhibition put the spotlight on whether connected-car services would help automakers maintain a ‘warm and fuzzy relationship’ with customers’ post-sale

Placing telematics at the top of the automotive agenda when it comes to selling cars and Telematics Update recorded several video interviews to gain further insight.

Consumers may take months to research a new-car purchase, and the actual shopping and buying process can take additional time. But once the customer leaves the dealer lot with a new vehicle, he's often riding off into the sunset, as far as the vehicle's manufacturer is concerned. OEMs firmly believe that connected-car services can help them sell cars. But can they also help them maintain a warm and fuzzy relationship with customers post-sale? The answer? Maybe, someday, as far as speakers at the Telematics Update conference and exhibition in Novi, Mich., were concerned. With so many questions uncovered on stage at the event, Telematics Update pin pointed some key companies to record a video interview onsite at the show to dig a little deeper into their into auto telematics strategy.

Charlotte Wright, marketing manager for Telematics Update, commented “We’re excited to release the video interviews over the coming weeks on the TU website. If you didn’t get a chance to grab some of the top speakers at the event itself, you can find out what they had to say when we got them in front of the camera.”
